Sunset Glow Headlines Field for $150,000 Edgewood Stakes
Sunset Glow has been tabbed as the morning line favorite at odds of 8-5 for trainer Wesley Ward. A gray daughter of Exchange Rate, she has been on the board in all seven starts and is a three-time winner. She made her sophomore debut in April after finishing second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) and was third after setting the pace. Joel Rosario will be aboard from post position three.
Stateside debut for My Year is a Day (FR)
Second choice at 5-2 on the morning line is My Year Is a Day (FR) who will be making her first start in the United States. She ran seven times as a juvenile in France and was on the board in six of them with three wins. A bay daughter of King’s Best, she will be making her first start for trainer Graham Motion and will have John Velazquez in the irons from post four.
Feathered switching from dirt to turf
Also in the field at morning line odds of 4-1 is Feathered for trainer Todd Pletcher. A bay daughter of Indian Charlie purchased for $300,000 as a juvenile, she is trying to return to form after finishing off of the board in both starts this year. She will be switching surfaces and trying the turf for the first time and will have Javier Castellano aboard from post position six.
