On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the stakes action will continue with the $100,000 Sweetest Chant Stakes. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the Grade 3 event will be contested at one mile on the turf and has drawn a full field of twelve.
Sapphire Kitten has been tabbed as the favorite in the wide open race at morning line odds of 7-2 for trainer Joe Sharp. Bred and owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, the chestnut daughter of Kitten’s Joy has been on the board in three of her four starts and is trying to earn her second career victory. She was last seen finishing third in the Wait a While Stakes in November and has been training steadily for her first start of the year. Julian Leparoux will be aboard and they will break from post two.
Pricedtoperfection trying for first stakes win
Second choice at morning line odds of 4-1 is Pricedtoperfection for trainer Chad Brown. A bay daughter of Temple City, she was purchased for $230,000 as a two-year-old and has one win from four starts. She is trying to earn the first stakes victory of her career and was second in the Ginger Brew Stakes last time out in her first start since the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) where she finished ninth. Joel Rosario will be aboard from post position six.

Also in the field at morning line odds of 8-1 is Module, one of two fillies in the race for trainer Bill Mott. A bay daughter of Harlan’s Holiday owned by Juddmonte Farms, she has been on the board in two of her four outings and is trying to earn her second career victory. After breaking her maiden in her third start, she stepped up to stakes company last time out and was third in the Ginger Brew Stakes. John Velazquez will be aboard from the rail.
