A Lot Tops Field For $100,000 Paradise Creek Stakes
A Lot tops the field as the morning line favorite at odds of 6-5 for trainer Bill Mott. A bay son of Tapit, he has won two of his six career starts and will be trying to earn the first stakes victory of his career. He was last seen finishing second in the American Turf Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs and won an optional claiming race two starts back. John Velazquez will be aboard and they are scheduled to break from post position eight.
Croninthebarbarian trying to regain competitive form
Second choice at 2-1 on the morning line is Croninthebarbarian for trainer Chad Brown. A dark bay son of Stroll bred and owned by Ol Memorial Stable, he has been on the board in six of his eight starts and was a minor stakes winner as a juvenile. He is trying to rebound after finishing eighth in the Palm Beach Stakes (G3) last time out and was third in both other starts this year. Javier Castellano will be in the irons and they will break from post four.
Bridget's Big Luvy switching to the turf
Also in the field at morning line odds of 4-1 is Bridget’s Big Luvy for trainer Jeremiah Englehart. A bay son of Tizwonderful, he has won two of his six starts and won the Private Terms Stakes two starts back at Laurel Park. He was eighth in the Arkansas Derby (G1) last time out behind Kentucky Derby winner American Pharoah and will switch to the turf. Rajiv Maragh will be aboard and they will break from post position seven.
